The 2019 Meursault Les Tessons is very promising, mingling notes of pear, peach and mandarin oil with hints of toasted bread and blanched almonds. Medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, it's deep and chiseled, with terrific concentration, racy acids and a long, lively finish.
This is more elegant still and cooler as well with its array of lemon zest, freshly sliced fennel and hazelnut scented nose. There is both more volume and mid-palate density to the medium-bodied flavors that are markedly more tightly wound on the youthfully austere, clean and dry finale that is also noticeably more complex. This is always one of Morey's most consistent wines and 2019 should only further cement that reputation. Drink 2027+
