Emmanuel Brochet Les Haut Meuniers Extra Brut 2015

Tasting Notes

As readers will remember, Brochet's 2015 Extra-Brut Les Hauts Meuniers derives from a parcel of Meunier vines (planted in 1962) at the top of his holdings on the Mont Benoit. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, confit citrus, freshly baked bread, blanched almonds and praline, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and pillowy, with an elegantly textural attack that segues into a seamless, layered mid-palate, concluding with a mordantly chalky finish. It was disgorged in December 2021.
