Crozes Hermitage Meysonniers, Maison M. Chapoutier 2020

Tasting Notes

The 2020 Crozes Hermitage Les Meysonniers offers a touch more minerality as well as density. Ripe blackberries, black raspberries and some peppery, floral nuances give way to a medium-bodied, balanced, impressively textured 2020 with loads of character. I'd happily drink a glass any time over the coming 4-6 years. Compared to the Petite Ruche, this see a touch more oak and is brought up in 25% used barrels, with the balance in concrete.

The 2020 Crozes-Hermitage Les Meysonniers is bright and juicy, with some peppery blue fruits as well as notes of bouquet garni. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has ripe tannins, good acidity, and a clean finish. It’s another wine that should easily be outstanding and drink well right out of the gate.
