Montrachet, Domaine Marquis de Laguiche, Drouhin 2005

Tasting Notes

This is by far the most reserved and unevolved wine in the range with a highly complex yet exceptionally primary white flower and notably ripe orchard fruit nose that introduces big and robust yet elegant flavors that retain excellent cut and terrific detail and there is so much dry extract present that this has a chewy texture on the vibrant, driving and explosive finish. 2005 is not the most elegant of vintages by the standards of this wine but the lurking potential here is evident.
