This is quite aromatically similar to the Corton with perhaps just a bit less sauvage character. There is outstanding volume and intensity to the imposingly-scaled flavors that possess first-rate mid-palate concentration along with an abundance of dry extract that imparts a velvety texture to the firmly structured and beautifully persistent finish. This well-balanced effort is classic Mazoyères and very much built-to-age.
