Volnay Caillerets, Domaine Michel Lafarge 2018

Just three barrels as half the vineyard was pulled out after the 2017 harvest. All the work is done here by horse by Clothilde, or by hand. Even the grapes are brought in by horse, then destemmed by hand. Medium deep colour, this has the more luscious perfume that comes with the hand destemming. The fruit really stretches out to the mineral finish, perfectly judged tannins, altogether quite classy.
