Gevrey Chambertin Lavaux Saint Jacques, Domaine Faiveley 2020

Tasting Notes

A mentholated top note is present on the aromas of kirsch, black cherry and distinct earth scents. There is more volume, mid-palate concentration and muscle to the larger-scaled flavors that are at once impressively rich yet well-delineated on the dusty, serious and built-to-age finale. This is very impressive.

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques unfurls to reveal aromas of dark berries, rose petals, exotic spices and violets. Medium to full-bodied, layered and complete, with terrific concentration, lively acids and beautifully refined tannins, this is especially promising this year.
