Echézeaux, Domaine des Perdrix 2020

Tasting Notes

**Note: the blend has changed and now this is 100% from Quartiers de Nuits; raised in 100% new wood**
A very ripe nose offers up notes of chocolate, poached plum, spice and noticeable wood and menthol influence. The supple, round and easy-going medium-weight plus flavors also possess good density while coating the palate on the lingering, complex and reasonably well-balanced if somewhat grippy and borderline rustic finale. This is definitely a ripe Ech, indeed there is a trace of warmth, and it's not really the style that I prefer. With that said, it possesses good quality and is a wine that should be approachable after 5 to 7 years if desired.
