Vosne Romanée Les Beauxmonts, Domaine Emmanuel Rouget 2020

Note: from two parcels of 50+ year old vines in Flagey that total .2915 ha
A more elegant and slightly cooler though still notably ripe nose by any standard reflects notes of both red and dark currant, violet, anise and exotic tea. The palate impression is also dense but here it is more refined and more mineral-driven while delivering excellent length on the solidly lengthy finish. Again, I would make the observation that while this is quite ripe, it's not over the top.
