Tasting Notes

Aromas of dark berries, cigar wrapper and licorice introduce the 2022 Potensac, a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy Médoc with a deep core of fruit and powdery structuring tannins. It's built along similar lines to the 2020.

William Kelley, Wine Advocate, April 2023

Polished and refined with a deep core of ripe berries with walnut undertones. Medium- to full-bodied with firm, velvety tannins and a lingering finish. Deep and complex.

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, April 2023

Dark purple in colour, this has a cedary, old school nose of blackcurrant leaf, black cherry and a hint of wood spice. Compact and chewy on the palate, this is a crunchy but ripe wine with a whiff of sweet vanilla. Coiling on the finish thanks to the persistent tannins, this is a dry but balanced wine that is well proportioned with a long, direct note of cedar and blackcurrant on the finish.
