Taylor Very Very Old Tawny Port King Charles III Coronation Edition, Taylor Fladgate Non Vintage

A bright, rusty, tawny brown hue with viscous texture. Super concentrated on the nose with esters of raisin, sultanas, walnuts and spicy Christmas cake. Cinnamon, cloves and freshly milled black pepper combine with an alluring waft of pipe tobacco. On the palate there is a thick and mouthcoating texture with an intriguing peppery spice and a generous ‘warmth’. Sweet of course but with a smack of firm and steely acidity running through the core and lending freshness, tension and precision. Flavours of figs, raisins and toasted nuts abound complemented by zesty orange and some maple syrup. A deliciously clean end palate and a length that goes on and on. Fantastic tawny.
