Tasting Notes

The 2024 Grüner Veltliner Rotes Tor Smaragd was picked in Spitz only, on the exposed western gneiss slopes. The shy nose allows a glimpse of pepper, but not more. The palate delivers pepper and verve in spades. Alive and vivid with spice, it is beautifully concentrated and propelled forward with energy and drive. It trembles with savor and pepper, which sets it apart. (Drink between 2028-2043)
