Mint, tropical flowers, honeyed orange, spice, and crushed stone notes all emerge from the 2023 Condrieu Les Chaillets. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, it has a pure, focused, elegant mouthfeel and beautiful overall balance. This brilliant Condrieu is well worth seeking out, and I'd put it up with the top wines in the vintage. It will drink nicely for at least 5-7 years. Drink 2025-2031. (Drink between 2025-2031)
100% Viognier. Aged in oak foudres and casks.
Lifted and floral, with a touch of white fruit as well. Supple and creamy on attack, then dry and zesty on the finish. Linear, fresh and focused. More of a contemporary, zesty feel. 2024 – 2027
Almond milk, jasmine and white peach notes. This is soft and gentle, full-bodied but fresh. It's well balanced and has good length, very classic and harmonious. Great persistence of fruit, with no excess oak. This is really lovely Condrieu and is likely to offer relatively good value for the appellation. Grown on biotite granite, 50% aged in large foudres, 50% in barriques without racking. In conversion to organic. 2024 - 2028
