A much more restrained nose reluctantly displays cool aromas of essence of red pinot fruit where suggestions of both spice and floral elements add breadth. The super-sleek, intense and tautly muscular larger-scaled flavors exude an almost pungent minerality before terminating in a chiseled, austere and compact finale. This is a Rugiens of refinement and grace yet one that should easily repay extended cellaring. Note: from a .09 ha parcel
