Tasting Notes

The 2022 Barolo Coste di Rose is a very pretty wine. Soft and inviting, with lovely translucent finesse, the 2022 is a model of grace. Dark blue fruits, spice, leather and incense fill out the layers nicely. There's a bit of edginess in the tannins, but also lovely softness in the fruit to provide a measure of balance. Drink: 2028-2042

Floral, as is typical of this estate, with crunchy red fruit and rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied, with a blanket of delicate, tender fruit defined by chalky, precise yet silky tannins. Drinkable now with proper aeration, but will improve with some bottle age.
