An even ruby purple. This is very complete, the fruit covering the palate effortlessly, the acid and tannin structure perfectly balanced and a particularly long aftertaste with a suggestion of blood orange. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Oct 2024. ***** 5 star wine
This vineyard is a monopole that has been under Jadot ownership since 1826. 2.15 hectares in size. The nose here is very ripe, with candied strawberries and cherry drop fruit together with a little sweet baking spice. This continues on the palate, which is surprisingly fine-boned but carries that same sweet red fruit core. Waves of red berries come through with a touch of compote and more baking spice. Long and fruit-led on the finish.
