Nicola Oberto and Stefania Drocco are great examples of the region’s younger generation. Having put the lesser-known Berri vineyard on the map, they have attracted high praise (and a high score) from Galloni. The price is extremely reasonable for an elegant, perfumed, silky and voluptuous wine that will drink early but age beautifully.

Made with grapes grown 370-430m above sea level in the MGA of the same name in La Morra, the 2021 Trediberri Berri is fragrant and already delicious. It opens with inviting aromas of ripe red cherry, crushed raspberry, star anise and ground clove that follow through to the succulent palate. Lithe tannins provide seamless support while fresh acidity keeps it balanced. Thanks to the great fruit and finesse, this is already drinking beautifully and will also offer years of fine sipping. Drink 2026–2036.
This is an aromatically bright Barolo, featuring aromas of dried flowers, mushrooms, earth and sliced strawberries. It is medium- to full-bodied, showing a very refined profile of vibrant fruit and a touch of concentration. The wine is precise and well knitted. It originates from Berri, in the highest part of La Morra. It is already a joy to taste, but better to wait until 2026.
