AP: 19 18. The 2017er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese Auction develops a bright nose made of pear, grapefruit, floral elements, smoke and fine spices. The wine develops a beautifully elegant feel of apricot blossom and yellow peach wrapped into some beautifully ripe acidity on the palate. The wine has the sweet presence of an Auslese (certainly by Joh. Jos. Prüm standards) but the finish is airy, intense and superbly playful. This is a great fruity-styled Riesling in the making! 2027-2047
