Together with the Corton Pougets this was the best red we tasted of the Jadot 2024s. The nose is so bright and enticing, lively and layered with no hint of greenness or dilution. The palate is built on sappy red berries, a little herbal and peppery spice and wood that is just right for the fruit style of the year. Ethereal but intense, there is a lot to like here, all in high floral tones and spice. The texture builds with savoury grip, showing some ageing potential to this wine. A highlight for Jadot this year - as to be expected from a site like Clos St Jacques.
