The 2025 Granietsteen is pure dry-farmed Chenin Blanc, whole-cluster pressed (long and slow over a couple of hours) and raised in Stockinger foudres and large-format concrete for nine months. This is fragrant on the nose and really articulates the variety with aplomb: hints of yellow fruit, lanolin and pithy pear. A wonderful line of acidity lends this Chenin unerring linearity, very focused with a dab of stem ginger towards the finish. Real tension and focus. Superb. Drink 2027-2044.
