Gevrey Chambertin Corbeaux, Domaine Bachelet 2017

Tasting Notes

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Corbeaux 1er Cru, matures in around 50% new oak, has a nuance and quite tertiary bouquet, the sous-bois more pronounced here than the Evocelles at the moment, well defined and focused but discrete. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy ripe, red cherry and blackberry fruit, fine mineralité and wondrous tension from start to finish. I suspect this will be coy once in bottle and deserves several years to show what it can do. Drink between 2024-2040
