Called Las Cuchillas because its acidity cuts like a knife, or cuchilla in Spanish, this is one of a quartet of top Chardonnays from Sebastían Zuccardi and Laura Principiano. Showing impressive, understated concentration that wouldn’t look out of place in a Corton- Charlemagne, this has stony intensity, flavours of pear, waxed lemons and crème fraîche, lovely texture and a refreshing mineral core.
Flinty nose of subtle oatmeal, star fruit and minerals. Limpid but also substantial, with an almost full body and a very flavorful, lengthy finish. Lots going on here. A selection of two parcels in San Pablo. Drink from 2027.
