This is also quite pure and cool with its restrained if wonderfully broad-ranging nose that includes plum liqueur, black raspberry, rose petal, violet and a whiff of exotic Asian-style tea. Like the Bonnes Mares, this is not a big or especially dense Musigny, but I really like the sophisticated and classy texture of the intense and sleekly muscular flavors that possess excellent focus and drive on the youthfully austere and hugely long finish. Like the Mazoyères, this is very much built for extended cellaring and is a blend of power and finesse. (Drink starting 2039)
