Tasting Notes

Very attractive nose of red plums, currants, nutmeg, orange peel and chopped herbs. Medium-bodied and polished with fine-grained tannins. Excellent length. Subtly spicy. 65% cabernet franc, 26% merlot and 9% cabernet sauvignon. Drink or hold.

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, January 2024

60% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Average age of the vines is 22 years. The vineyard is 6 km from ocean in the shade of mountain – very cool.
Intense cranberry and redcurrant fruit, strawberries too. Liquorice laces and graphite and then long, long tannins. Restrained power; I'm just loving the graphite minerality in this wine, which seems to move with cursive grace, setting the fruit into phrases with beautiful punctuation. Dark fruit on the incredibly long, indigo finish. A wine that is just hitting its stride. Drink between 2024-2029.
