Mid ruby. There is not a lot more on the nose, but considerably greater generosity of fruit on the palate, absolutely fills the mouth, raspberry seedless, covers any tannins and with adequate acidity. Very long. Note that in 2023 there are some whole bunches in all the Jadot Chambolle wines. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Oct 2024.
An east facing, stony vineyard beneath Bonnes Mares, this year's Fuées is showing very well already. The nose is bold and intense, fully of ripe red fruit and cherry blosom, together with a lick of sweet wood spice. The palate is gentle in structure, with glossy red fruits coating ripe and fine tannins. A joyous and open-knit wine, there is substance underneath that will doubtless allow this wine to age. Tightening on the finish, it is pithy in structure but lingers with more of that fragrant fruit and wood spice.
