Medium deep purple. The bouquet offers great promise, not flamboyant, a savoury red fruit but with depth behind. Nothing on the nose to say this is a stunning wine but just wait till you put it into your mouth! Such an explosion of rich ripe red fruited pinot, with a plush velvet texture which covers the tannins which are surely there for the long term future.
Cask sample. Pale purplish crimson. There is gorgeously seductive sweet fruit on the palate. This has massive intensity on the palate. Quite a bit of fine tannin on the end. Needs a bit of time but this should provide an enormous amount of pleasure. Drink: 2028-2044
