Tasting Notes

Blackberry, licorice and spice aromas follow through to a medium-to-full body, with fine tannins and a currant aftertaste. Falls a little short. A pretty wine. The second wine of Rauzan-Ségla. Best after 2011.

James Suckling, Wine Spectator, October 2009

Tasted blind. Light and lifted on the nose. Just very slightly sour but nicely transparent and fresh. Racy. Ready. I don’t apologise for rating this second wine above the grand vin on current showing. VGV
