The 1952 Rivesaltes is refulgent in the glass. It has a lovely bouquet with dried honey, marmalade, woodbine and melted wax aromas that are beautifully defined. The palate is very well balanced with tangy marmalade on the entry, just the right viscosity with that easy-going, approachable finish that keeps a tight rein on the oxidized elements. Very fine. Tasted with Philippe Gayral. 2018 - 2028
Pale orange and very clear. Light nose and lots of sweetness. Round and delightful. Macerated oranges and walnuts. Good refreshment.
Drink 2016-2023
Thick and viscous and layered with baked citrus, cream, spice and honeycomb. There’s a slight earthiness too, yet nothing in the slightest bit dead.
40-year-old tawny style, spirited and lifted, almost dry.
