Nuits St Georges Aux Cras, Dujac Fils & Pere 2019

Tasting Notes

Purchased fruit from the northern side of Nuits, near Vosne. This is most in line with the domaine's production, with ripe plummy fruit and a savoury element on the nose. On the palate there is more depth and concentration than the village wines from the négoce. This has the density and firm structure to age 10 or 15 years. (Drink between 2024-2049)

The 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras has also turned out nicely, offering up aromas of plums, cassis, rich spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, it concludes with a bright, mineral finish.

Rich purple, a little touch of volatile here, dark fruit, greater purity on the palate, more red fruit in the end rather than black, medium weight, fine long finish. Tasted Nov 2020.
