Ripe and appealingly fresh aromas are comprised by notes of citrus, white peach, shellfish and a whisper of iodine along with a deft application of wood. There is once again very solid volume to the more finely textured flavors that possess very good verve before concluding in a refreshing bitter lemon-inflected finish. This promising and relatively powerful effort should reward up to a decade of cellaring. Note: from a .67 ha holding that averages 35 years of age
Notes of citrus oil, green apple and pear mingling with hints of freshly baked bread and white flowers introduce the 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Forêt, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and charming wine that's elegant and precise, with a crisp core of fruit and chalky grip on the finish.
