Volnay Les Champans, Domaine Pierrick Bouley 2021

This too is wonderfully perfumed with its cool and ultra-pure aromas of plum, various dark berries and a lovely array of spice elements. There is a bit better density though somewhat surprisingly, not quite the same refinement to the solidly powerful and markedly stony flavors that deliver slightly better depth and persistence on the youthfully austere finale. This is relatively robust Champans that offers an appealing combination of power and balance. (Drink starting 2033)
