This is an impressive wine, as is the 2010 Cornas Lieu-Dit Les Eygats (111 cases produced). From a high altitude vineyard in the southern section of the appellation, and harvested very late, this 2010 offers up scents of prunes, figs, black fruits and chocolate as well as abundant tannin in a bold, flamboyant, stylish format. Forget this Cornas for several years and drink it over the following 10-15.
