46% Chenin, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Chardonnay, 12% Viognier, the rest a mix of Roussanne and Marsanne.
Really satisfying, ripe, honeyed nose transiting through green apples to an appetising dry, tangy finish. Great stuff! GV. Drink 2025-2029.
The blend for this classy Cape white changes each vintage; the 2023 is 46% Chenin Blanc, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Chardonnay, 12% Viognier, 10% Roussanne and 2% Marsanne – all from terraced mountainside vineyards and vinified separately. Notes of apple tart, quince, lemon and thyme cheesecake weave through the citrus mineral palate, with really vibrant acid. Lovely energy; definitely more than the sum of its parts. 2026 - 2032.
