The second wine, the 2003 Alter Ego de Palmer, is a soft, round, fully mature effort. Soft berry fruit, incense, bay and tobacco leaf characteristics along with a delicious, medium-bodied mouthfeel make for a wine to drink over the next several years.
Notes of chocolate, herbs, and earth jump from the glass of this light to medium-bodied, superficial but attractive second wine that is best drunk during its first 5-8 years of life.
