The 2019 Fixin Les Arvelets 1er Cru has a lovely, perfumed bouquet of raspberry and wild strawberry fruit and is quite elegant in context of the season. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and a little softness around the edges, auguring a more approachable Premier Cru. Hints of black olive and brown spices emerge toward the finish. This is a lovely, lilting Gevrey-like Fixin. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
