A thick deep purple. The extreme concentration of this wine lends a certain heaviness to it. Then more detail emerges along with a peppery note. It makes for a complex wine that has not yet fallen into convincing harmony. The thickness of texture at the finish leaves a drying impression at this time. So much to like but not in harness, so a cautious rating. Drink from 2028-2040.
Dark crimson. Rich fruit and sweetly seductive. Long and rich and really rather gorgeous. Drink: 2026-2040
