A bright pale lemon colour with a lithe, Chablis-like nose of fresh lemon zest, lime juice and gree apple, this vibrant and silky wine is tensile and focused. The palate has a zippy citrus-driven core of fruit, a light pithy character and razor-like acid. It feels shy next to the Vrede, in need of a little coaxing from the glass to show its best. The length, though, is impressive. Linear yet deep and always coming back to citrus and savour, I would wait at least a year before approaching to see it at its best.
