Like its stablemates, Mugnier's 2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses is so open and expressive that it will be difficult to resit in its youth. Bursting from the glass with notes of raspberries, rose petals, exotic spices and citrus oil, it's medium- to full-bodied, suave and seamless, with beautiful purity of fruit, melting tannins and a broad, sapid finish.
Fine ruby. A classic Amoureuses on the nose, really most welcoming, and with a wealth of strawberry and raspberry fruit to follow, enough acidity and fine length. Delicious. Even the empty glass keeps smiling. Drink from 2029-2038.
