This is riper still yet the fragrant and densely fruited nose remains beautifully fresh with its distinct spice, floral and earth notes. The exceptionally rich and almost painfully intense flavors ooze copious amounts of dry extract that partially buffers the extremely firm but not hard tannins that shape the textured and fabulously long finish. This is a classic Mazoyères that is not nearly as refined as the Charmes but it's bigger, longer and more complex and overall, there is just more here. Magnificent in every respect and built with a 20 year aging curve in mind.
