Expressive, layered and nuanced to the core, the 2011 Barbaresco Rombone captures the essence of the vintage. Orange peel, exotic spices, herbs, lavender and mint add shades of complexity, but more than anything, the Rombone is a broad, large-scaled wine with considerable tannic heft and intensity.
