Clos de la Roche, Domaine Lécheneaut 2021

Tasting Notes

Just one (new) barrel instead of one plus a 350 litre cask in a good year. Glowing imperial purple. A little touch of coconut, from the new barrel, which does not take over completely but is slightly closing down the fruit for the moment. There is exceptional energy though, a range of summer pudding fruits, with the oak adding the cream and one or two additional tannins. Still a baby, this needs much more elevage. I think it will come through very well. Drink from 2029-2038.
