Tasting Notes

Full-bodied and fragrant, the 2021 Villero from Poderi Luigi Einaudi is a fantastic showing, starting with its pronounced aromas of camphor, fine pipe tobacco and ripe berry. Youthfully austere but already delicious, it has great fruit flavors of crunchy red berry, raspberry and blood orange accented by dried mint and star anise. Firm, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity keep it balanced and loaded with energy. Drink 2031–2046.
