Corton Charlemagne, Etienne Sauzet 2023

Tasting Notes

Three sources, one for each commune, two in grapes and one in must, higher slope for all three. Lovely and lively pale lemon yellow with the faintest of green tints. This is a classy, level headed Corton-Charlemagne, with a fascinatingly complex fruit on the plate, a little peach, some honeysuckle, but good acidity and some fresher citrus notes beneath. The minerality is certainly present as well as the flesh.
