Sourced from the southern end, both uphill and down, across the three soil types. Philippe mentions the dark earth with marine fossils in the middle and light red soil at the top. Very dense purple with a suitably ungiving nose. Firm structure at the back. The tannins speak but this will work very well in the long term.
