I like the spicy perfume here, with notes of cloves, spiced cherries, chocolate orange and raspberries. It’s medium-bodied, balanced and creamy in texture with fine tannins. All in balance. Drink or hold.
Unusually deep colour, perhaps because of 2021’s heatwaves. Rewarding varietal nose and much denser than most of these AB Vintners Pinots. Really intense and vital, with sort of Nuits-like concentration. This would probably surprise a lot of people. Lots still to unfurl. Drink: 2026-2040
