Not too deep in colour, with rather a stylish perfumed raspberry fruit. Light fresh acidity, behind the beautifully balanced fruit, a few tannins too, but the fruit stretches out wonderfully behind them. The benefit of ancient vines is clear to see. 5 star wine. Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted Nov 2023.
An agreeably fresh and relatively bright nose is comprised by notes of both red and ark currant, earth and a suggestion of underbrush. The delicious, vibrant and beautifully detailed middleweight flavors flash only a touch of rusticity on the balanced and sneaky long finish. While this has the requisite stuffing to repay up to a decade of keeping, it could reasonably be approached after only 2 to 4 years. Note: from a 2.2 ha holding that was originally planted in 1906
