Glowing mid ruby. There is much more energy here and riper than Theurons. A little strawberry, shows less intensity than I expected on the palate. A little dry patch to be overcome. Then a soft oakiness to finish as lower acidity. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted Oct 2025.
I preferred the Cras to the Clos des Ursules from this one showing. The palate is perfumed with a good intensity of strawberry, red cherry and a hint of sweet spice. The palate has some roundness and the tannins have good ripeness. There is a stony grip set against the delicate fruit, with a touch of bolstering incense spice from the wood. Another chiselled and focused Pinot reflective of the vintage.
