This is surprisingly expressive at such an early stage with its highly complex nose of wet stone, spiced pear and acacia blossom. There is excellent underlying tension to the overtly stony and finely detailed middle weight flavors that possess a seductively textured mid-palate yet the balanced and moderately dry finale is mildly austere. Interestingly this isn't quite as concentrated as the Charmes but it's certainly more refined.
Medium to full yellow. The bouquet is clearly richer than the Genevrières with perhaps a lactic note. Fuller, quite generous, ripe apples, slightly less éclat than the Genevrières, but this still works very well. Quite forward so no need to wait too long. Drink from now-2030. Tasted: June 2023.
