From magnum. There is a suggestion of secondary fruit lurking in the background of the otherwise ripe aromas of plum, the sauvage, black raspberry, spice and a hint of dried violet. There is excellent size, weight and power to the big-bodied, rich and muscular yet not really robust flavors that display excellent length on the balanced and still firm finale that offers fine complexity. Though by no means ready, it is actually more forward than one might reasonably expect given the large format bottling and this was one of my favorite wines of the tasting because while it is clearly ripe, it's not over the top.
