While hardly invisible there is less obvious wood treatment present here with a fresh and densely fruited nose of intensely earthy deeply pitched dark and black berry fruit. The rich, intense and brooding broad-scaled flavors possess excellent mid-palate concentration and impressive power on the robust and clearly built-to-age finish. This is a big and very solidly structured effort that will need plenty of patience.
